Failte Ireland

January 2021 - present

Working with Failte Ireland, the national tourism development agency for the Republic of Ireland, on a pilot project 'Digital That Delivers' to work with 5 organisations in Ireland’s Ancient East & Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands to identify and procure CRM/ticketing systems for their organisations.  This has included scoping out system integrations, and provision of hardward solutions to fulfil their business objectives.

The pilot organisations were: Patrick Kavanagh Centre Monaghan; The Shed Distillery Drumshanbo; Youghal Tourism Cork; Irish National Heritage Park Wexford and Irish Heritage Trust.

The pilot programme was rolled out as a second phase in Autumn 2021 and I worked with the following organisations to help them through the process of procuring ticketing/CRM systems: Beyond the Trees Avondale; Blarney Castle; Christchurch Cathedral; Dublinia; Irish Aviation Museum; Kylemore Abbey; Nano Nagle Place; Skellig Six18 Distillery; Teeling Whiskey; Waterford Treasures (a group of attractions) St Patrick's Cathedral and National Gallery of Ireland.

Key Deliverables were

  • In-depth discovery, audit, and aspiration sessions focusing on the details of system/ops with a series of 1-2-1 meetings, workshops, involving several staff across each of the 5 businesses.
  • Complete a review of what functionality required.
  • Facilitate shortlisting of preferred systems and guide industry on how to select systems.
  • Provide report to the project team with a roadmap for industry that includes a guide on access to funding/further supports.
